Settling back in...

So it's been a month since I got back from home and between jet lag and Deb not being around, it took me pretty damn long to just get back into the groove of things.. But I did spend whatever nice weather outdoors grabbing brunches, walking around, bbq-ing, hanging out with friends, trying new food, finding even more new things to eat! And today is an awesome day because today marks the day when we learn all our hopes for the summer are about to come true - meaning 3 out of 3 bands that we were praying hard would make it out to NY will indeed be here! YEA!!!!!!

Meanwhile, Death by Drone is going to be in a few more stores this upcoming Fall season so it's all going good... Look out for stuff in stores late August or September!

POP UP SHOP AT LOLA Y MARIA TOMORROW! (wednesday june 3rd)

We are having an event at Lola y Maria in the Lower East Side this Wednesday evening! We will be selling some dresses, tee's, totes and prints from our Spring 09 collection as well as previewing our Fall 09 collection "Jacques and the Jewel Thief".

Along with Death by Drone's artistically printed dresses there will be designs from Yana Custom Handbags and swimsuits from The House of Jackie Brown.
There will also be cocktails served and a DJ!! yay!

The new Fall 2009 stuff is up on the site!!!

"Jacques and the Jewel Thief"



We showed it over a month ago for Fall fashion week and finally got around to putting the story together in its entirety with a photoshoot.

This season, there are tops, skirts, coats, cardigans, hats, awesome bags (with toys!!!) and crazy ass dresses! We use vintage rhinestones on the dresses and bags that have them.

As always, all our illustrations are hand-silkscreened / hand-painted right here in New York!

Will keep you posted on when they get into the stores.

Swallowtail (Live) can do no wrong!

wow, matt hollywood is playing the BJM show tonight and we're not there. hearing from a friend who's at the show right now. But Terminal 5 is a wretch so all's well with me just sitting here polishing off a PBJ and listening to a lethal combination of swallowtail/evergreen/whenjokersattack/openheartsurgery/truelove/stillborn on repeat. anton anton anton - you spew tales of diarrhea and runny noses, possess(ed) a ridiculously bandwidth unfriendly myspace page, moved to iceland and changed your last name to fjordson, but you damn sure write some good songs!

anyway, it has been a strange peculiar day that ended with me having an hour long conversation about the times and the people and the travesty that is modern day existence, with some french dude, on an empty street, in bushwick, in the rain. I reminded both of us of the fact that a chicken could run around after its head's been chopped off. He gave me his grandma's recipe for goat's cheese and grapes on baguette (green grapes! not too ripe!). And at the end, we just went back along our own ways, as two random people whose paths merely intersected briefly... Some meaning, not much, just enough.
